Coach's first car

This is the story of my PE teacher's first car. Coach's first car was a Ford Pinto that her father bought for her when she was sixteen. He also bought one for her brother so he must of had a sense of humor when it came to first cars. Either that or he seized the opportunity to get a 500 dollar car that it was impossible to speed in. This baby blue Pinto had a multitude of issues when it comes to speed, and mechanics. I believe that the breaks have failed, and it never got above 60mph. There are also more things that happened to that car that I do not remember. One of the things that happened when the car reached its top speed of 60 was that the entire car would shake. I remember Coach telling me that she would purposely take the long way to get to places, taking the precaution of avoiding highway speed. Eventually she sold the car to a guy that kept pestering her to let him buy it. She told me that she was very disappointed when he junked up the car.

That is my Coach's first car story.

Thank you! -Rowan

  1. Your PE coach's father may have been smarter than you think. Buying her a car eliminated many trips for him and her wife to take her where she needed to go. Buying her a car that was not so nice may have taught her to get out and work for what she wanted out of life. Look at where she ended up today.
